Your brain doesn't need me shoving a million other things in there.
It took me far too long to learn how to sleep. For two main reasons.
1. I had a sleep-deprived brain.
Sleep helps us focus, process information and form memories.
So naturally, the people who need to understand recovery the most can find it the hardest to get to grips with. Especially when you're a founder with very little headspace to spare.
2. Too much information. Too little clarity.
We're living in the information age. It's both a blessing and a curse.
We're bombarded with information all day, from our phones, laptops, podcasts and even that person at dinner who thinks they know everything.
And whilst some of it is useful, much of it is, to put it politely, a load of shite. Even good information is often wrapped in long words and complicated explanations to make people sound clever.
But there's nothing clever about that. It's really not helpful.
Improving recovery should make life easier, not more complicated.
That's why I do my utmost to explain things in a way that makes sense, even to a brain that's half asleep. Giving you what you need, when you need it, without adding more noise to an already overloaded mind.
